The Futures Program at MDA is having a bit of a re-vamp and we are really excited with the proposed program for 2009. The program has been designed to reflect a broad range of interest areas and hopefully has something for everyone with a computer course, cooking sessions, film & book studies, art projects, playing wheelchair hockey and of course lots of new & exciting outings like going to the cricket, greyhound races and IMAX.
I look forward to keeping you all updated on what we are doing in the Futures program. _________________ Kelly Morrice

|
|
It has been a busy start to the year. Term 1 of the FFYA program has seen participants got to the cricket at the MCG, enjoy a day at the greyhound races, a visit to Ford Performance Vehicles, playing indoor hockey and a day at the Grand Prix.
With the support of Kangan Batman Tafe weekly computer classes have continued this term. We are very pleased that tomorrow evening participants will be receiving a Certificate in Multimedia from Kangan Batman Tafe.
An excellent start to the year. _________________ Kelly Morrice

A quick update on what has been happening in the FFYA program.
Term 2 saw our FFYA group continue with their weekly indoor hockey games and with the winter weather came lots of outings to the movies. The group enjoyed a theatre performance at the Arts Centre and also ended the term at a Circus Oz performance.
The regular trivia quiz, cooking, computers & xbox games kept us busy during these wet & cold months. Looking forward to the 2nd half of the year & some warmer weather for outdoor activities. _________________ Kelly Morrice
