I have been asked to look into getting an alternating air mattress for a boy with Duchenne's MD. I understand that it will reduce the number of times that his parents have to get up through the night to turn him.
If anyone had any info. at all about these, I'd love to hear it. |

I use an alternate air pressure mattress every night. it is an Alpha xcell from Huntleigh Healthcare. Most nights I dont need to turn at all.
I trialled a number of mattresses and found this one the most comfortable.
It has manual pressure adjustment as I found the automatic adjusting mattresses too hard. There is a company that does sell and hire out mattresses and other equipment. they have a web site at
