MDA will be holding a Teachers Seminar, it will take place at MDA Centre (111 Boundary Rd, North Melbourne) on Tuesday, 2nd March 2009. The program is aimed to provide vital insight and information to school personnel on how to best support a students with muscular dystrophy (MD) or related neuromuscular disorder (NMD).

The program will include topics such as disorder specific information and management issues, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy recommendations and other considerations at schools, such as funding, etc.

If you have a NMD or you have a child with a NMD who is school aged, we encourage you to speak to the integration coordinator at your school and encourage them to attend. They will be able to download the program and registration from the MDA website. It is the 3rd article down on the front page.

Alternatively you can contact me on 03 9320 9555 or on vicki.cavalieros@mda.org.au for more info
